The editorial board of USA today recognise Obama’s administration plan to close Guantanamo Bay due to the cost assimilated of keeping it open in an article with the headlines “Terrorist prison has outlived its usefulness”.

They wrote: “Guantanamo might have served a purpose during the awful time after the 9/11 attacks, but its value has long been overtaken by its cost.“
