House Foreign Affairs new bill may not permit to close Guantanamo Bay

In Tuesday (23/2/2016) plan the Obama’s administration suggested to close Guantanamo Bay by transferring the remaining detainee to US-supermax prison. However on the same day, House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Ed Royce introduced a bill that would require the Obama’s administration to get Congress approval before transferring any detainees.

Royce said the bill would “bring much-needed public scrutiny to the administration’s mad rush to transfer detainees out of Guantanamo Bay before President Obama leaves office.”
